custom pc or name brand?

Well my laptop isnt the strongest but still good.

It doesnt like to play with my 30 in hdtv though.

Oh and it gets fussy with my torrent downloads.

SO I am THINKING about buying a desktop pc, or a minipc, but what should i get? I want to be able to record hd streams into my pc, such as ifc and wec to upload to show here @ bk. plus add a few hds for some good torrent downloading.

Any recos?

Oh and my vid card has to be atleast 128mb so i can handle age of empires 3.

I'm not sure about the brand etc. to go with but if you are comfortable doing it, I would just build your own computer from parts.

If you know how to build your own computer, do it. Or if you can find some help, but you need to know what you're doing, order the right hardware for the right price etc.
