What exactly happens when you report a post to a moderator?

Seriously. Do you guys look at the post and then write a nasty pm to whoever made it? I think there should be a sticky at the top of every forum with the names of people who have had posts reported that way the rest of us can point and laugh.

And is it cool if I report funny posts to ya'll so you can share in the hilarity?

The report mechanism is supposed to be used to report posts that violate the rules. Unfortunately, that's not all they've been used for.. If there is a breach of rules in the post that is reported, appropriate action will be taken.
I ask of you not to report posts just for the fun of it, it can get tiring to get posts like that, pm us about funny posts instead :)

9 out of 10 reported posts were not against the rules. When I get reported posts I just try to neg whoever reported it :D
