Holy fucking shit. I would have put this in the NCAA Football thread but I thought this was pretty important. Merge it if you must.

And hopefully he fails sooner than his brother.Atlanta will probably draft him as Michael's back-up. That would kinda be teh pwn.

If you want two quarterbacks that are vastly over-rated, and cant throw more tds than int's then I guess that could be the pwn.

Holy shit! I had read that Frank Beamer was going to suspend him for an unspecified number of games, depending on how a meeting with Vick's mother turned out...

That fuckwad never apologized to the guy he stomped on, continued to call it an accident, and lied about it to the press.

In five years, we're going to see him on ESPN being arrested for having 12 pounds of dope in the trunk of a '93 Deville at a truck stop outside of Virginia Beach. I can't wait to see his mugshot online.

Maybe he and Clarett can compare notes about jailhouse cuisine. It's a damn shame when athletes piss their talent away...

i think i would pay 50 bucks for this to happen. then reporters would ask mike about his brother raping 14 yeard old girls and he'd get pissed and everyone would have a good laugh

eh id say more toward the 4th or 5th. I dont think he will be anything as a QB in the NFL. Still though if someone like an Adrian Mcpherson gets a shot in the 5th round, Marcus could go high as the 3rd. I could see Oakland making a play for him at QB, maybe even Houston as a backup to Carr. Dumb son of a bitch ruined a good thing he had going at Va Tech. Good riddance.I wonder if Beamer had a backup plan in terms of recruiting a good QB last year.

God willing the Rams will land Dumervill and he gets to break Marcus's leg in the preseason a la Trent Green/Rodney Harrison style

one of the few things that would get me to a texans' game would be the chance to throw trash at marcus vick. maybe they should do it

Hell, i'd go to a fuckin Texans game if I could throw shit at either of the Vicks, GARBAGE QB's, shitty style, over-rated by madden playing idiots. If you want to draft a mobile QB look no further than Vince Young, atleast that man can complete a god damn pass without it getting picked off.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to NHBFighter84 again.

Eh Frank Beamer is such a saint. Please if he had any character he would have put his ass on the bench after he did it. But winning the game was more important. I hope Vick does get drafted so he can get some money and really fuck his life up by doing stupid stuff. Give that guy some ropw and he will hang himself.

I recall seeing on ESPN that he isn't even draft elegible. Because he missed year doesn't count for him. Meaning he needs one more year (college football or not) to enter the draft. He can only play Div II or III as well. Just what I saw on ESPN on it.

I am reasonably certain the rule is if your high school class graduated 3 years ago you are draft eligible. I will check.

Direct from the ESPN website:

Now, his choices are to declare for the NFL draft by the Jan. 15 deadline or transfer to a Division I-AA school so he can play next season.

So NFL it is.

The only time he would have to sit out a year is if he transfered to another div-1A NCAA team, and he ain't gonna transfer - he's going pro.

Oh OK, cool. They were saying otherwise last night. Someone will take him, but not on day 1 even IMO. 5th round.

When I was typing my original post I had put 5th round, but thought about it for a second and thought with his athletic ability and think some team will take a flyer on him earlier.

I just don't think another team is going to risk doing what the Broncos did last year. Risking a 1st day pick on a mental case. Also I'm not sure this Vick is even a potential NFL QB. His stats are quite weak. He had 17/10 TDs-INTs and ran for about 400 yards this last year. That's meh for a team like VA Tech. He'll get drafted, but very late IMO.

I would rank him below Leinart, Young, Cutler, Croyle, Jacobs and Whitehurst. However, he may have Adrian MacPherson appeal, i.e. a team drafts him to use him in practice to simulate Michael.

i see him starring in Barcelona, with the added bonus of them gifting him the nifty moniker "El Negro"
