I voted Jake Delhomme. 5-1 playoff record with a 108 or something like that playoff QB rating.

highest ever playoff QB rating, including Joe Montana.

Of course Montana has 4 rings.... but of the QB's left Delhomme has the most experience.

I asked this because I thought it was a no brainer - but on around the horn 2 guys took Roethlisberger and one took Delhomme and one took Plummer.

Hasselbeck of course.

Both Hasselbeck and Delhomme are having fantastic seasons, but Hasselbeck is better across the board. Granted, Delhomme as experience in the NFC championship game and the Super Bowl, but minus DeShaun Foster and doubling up on Steve Smith....what does that leave Delhomme? Hasselbeck's got Ingram and Jackson back, Alexander is playing and will contribute, Jeramy Stevens has blown up this season, and J.J. having a fantastic season and is slotted at #3.

For Delhomme, Kerry Colbert hasn't even shown up this season, which is a shame

I picked the defence option. Each of the QBs up there have tendencies to have "Kerry Collins" moments. Not bad QBs, but none of them have a ring so I'll take the best defence to win.

Maybe so but it still didn't answer my question. The guy isn't awful, but it's not like he is heading to Canton either.

1. Are you saying The Dilf isn't Hall of Fame worthy?
2. You think only Hall of Famers ge tbandwagons?
3. The Dilf pwns. Deal with it.

Honestly though, the only one that compares to The Dilf is The Housh.

Imagine if The Dilf and The Housh were teammates?

do Super Bowl QB's always have to have outstanding numbers? Look at Peyton....I rest my case

the team? well, if you're going to say it that way, then you need to give more credit to the "3 headed monster" instead of the team in whole

Just look at the others who won the SB. It was either a great QB or a team known to have a great defence.

ZZZZZZZZING!!

Seriously, though. Rypien threw the greatest deep ball of any 80s QB. Like the Jeff George of the 80s.

You're reaching back 16 years there. :D If you have reach back 16 years that should tell you something. The Skins had a good defence that year. Not domminate, but good. They also had an outstanding O-line. It's not so hard when you have these 5 guys blocking for you:

Bostic, Jeff C
McKenzie, Raleigh G
Schlereth, Mark G
Jacoby, Joe T
Lachey, Jim T

yeah yeah, the Hogs....but you said It was either a great QB or a team known to have a great defence. the only thing I remember from that year is whatever Rypien threw up, Monk and Clark were there to catch it

the 98-99 Vikings remind me of that team: Cunningham tossed it up and Moss and Carter were there to snag it no matter where it was thrown....fun year for the NFL

cottonzway

Jay Schrader probably had the best deep ball arm ever, but just couldn't hit an open target. The guy could throw the ball like 85 yards in the air.

Well you were able to find one catch from 16 years ago then. Congrats. ;) Still had to reach back a long time ago because it is not the norm at all. They even kind of go in their own catagory because of that line, but correct in terms of not being a great QB or great defence.
