I'm not really shocked the GI chicks won. I mean, a lot of Smackgirl chicks are accomplished ground fighters, but if there was a ADCC vs. PRIDE/UFC/Shooto card, until BJJ or submission wrestling rules, I would probably go with the ADCC'ers to win.

Yoshida's quickly coming up to be a contender for Tsuji. Edge is just a rookie still and she's fought people who are way over her so far. I don't know how Tsuji didn't pwn Mogi in the MMA round. Shooto was talking all this stuff about her BJJ credentials, but when she got in the ring with Watanabe she simply walked around getting pummeled to death. BJJ matches aren't interesting to me.

Actually, none. I find with female MMA, you have kickboxing or Muay Thai chicks, and then BJJ chicks. Sometimes with cross over. Every so often you get something different, like Shinashi sambo-fucking people, but there isn't a lot of strong wrestling in female MMA.

That is why I said I'll have her fighting towards the end of the year. Obviously, getting fights will be tough, but the sport will grow. I'm confident she can take down anyone across the ring from her, so the standup will be the focus. She already know some BJJ and is quite good at passing guard or avoiding it altogether.
