Password rar?

I downloaded a torrent that is password protected in the rar file. There's an explanation on how to get the password but it involves registering on another forum that is taking forever to authorize my account.


Anyway I can bypass this?

Did you right click it and go to "open"? When you do that with rars packed by some sites it will reveal the password, which is sometimes the site you are supposed to register for.

not that i know of.. YOU MAY have an NFO file with the folder before you unrar it, which you can read for the PW.

Oh and sometimes typing in the name of the site they tell you to register at is the pw for the rar... or you can go to the site you dl'ed the file from and see if anyone posted the pw thurr.

oh to READ the nfo file.... right mouse click, openwith wordpad or wordtxt, and it'll read it as atxt file which is what you want to do./

also, just check the comments on the torrent info page. usually 1 person will do the dirty deed and register, then just post the password back on the comments.
