its a series that is coming up on SPIKE Tv that lets average sports fans like you and i act out some of their all time sports fantasies in a controlled setting against former greats. some of the athletes on this show include Bill Romanowski, Jerry Rice, Dennis rodman and Jennie finch amongst others. If you had the opportunity to do this show, which athlete would you pick to go up against?

Dennis rodman under Finnfight rules.
I don't know, but I find the commercials retarded. Jackasses hamming it up for the cameras, talking shit to try to get their 14.99 of fame. When I saw the promo where the idiot called BO FREAKIN JACKSON a hack, I knew it was bullshit. If anyone ever starts a "greatest athlete" debate, Bo is my LOCK for the past twenty years. And some couch jockey is calling him a hack? Fuck that show.
You know who has the highest Homerun:Atbat ratio of anyone that's ever hit 200 homeruns? Bo Jackson. NFL Pro-Bowler and MLB All-Star? Bo Jackson. Co-holder of consecutive HR record? Bo Jackson. Oh, yeah, Olympian? Bo Jackson. Who hit the water tower outside center field at Alabama? Bo, of course. When he was at Auburn, what'd Alabama fans chant at the Bama-Auburn game his senior year? "Roll Tide"? Nope. "No More Bo".
Fuck that show.
Bitches.

Did you read his autobiography "Bo Knows Bo", co-written by Dick Schapp?
Good stuff. It was written prior to his career-ending hip injury, when he was still on top of the athletic world. Fun and easy read. He really was the man.

FYI, Jim Thorpe was part native-american.
Strangely enough, I don't think he had a drinking problem.

That is shocking. But if you have seen the Thorpe movie, you may be a bit skeptical of his true native american background. Dude looked awefully anglo to me. And besides, of all the super multi-sport athletes, only one was groomed specifically for such reality TV nonsense...and we are talking PRIMETIME here Spike TV! Besides, what the chances of someone getting seriously hurt by a "Cornerback" tackle? Though I am all for one of the BKers taking on Fedor. He soooo hits like a girl!

they say he was 50% irish, 50% native-american, and 100% badass. you're probably thinking to yourself "that adds up to 200%" and you're correct; he was twice the man anyone else could ever hope to be.
I think it's hilarious that some idiot really thinks he can come in off the street and cover Jerry Rice. Pro NFL cornerbacks couldn't cover Jerry Rice, and some guy who used to play football in middle school thinks he's gonna go shut him down........right.....
I'd probably choose to box Mike Tyson if I were on that show, I've always wanted to do that

Thorpe was great but that was in the 20's. Alot of evolution has happened since the 20's.
Thorpe was only a career .252 hitter and just a part time player.
Also he was no faster than Bo in the 100 yard dash. Factor in that Bo was 35 lbs heavier, a Pro Bowl Football Player and a MLB allstar and he was the better athlete. I don't care how many Germans Thorpe beat in the decathalon.

The guy looks indian to me.
Whoever thinks this show is going to be good needs to reevaluate their life.
It might be better if they made Pros vs Hoes.

no, you're wrong. stop trying to win this argument with silly little things like "facts" and "irrefutable evidence," it's not going to work. jim thorpe > bo jackson, and that's final.

Yeah, no shit. Another one got it within 4 feet and even the one that was like 20 feet away was impressive. I doubt a few pro golfers would be able to do any better in just 2 shots. The golf shots were definately unexpected.

A ton of athletes and celebrities play golf because they've got tons of money and nothing better to do but most of them still suck. I imagine these guys aren't fantastic golfers but to be able to hit exactly 210 yards, straight as in arrow with only 2 tries is pretty damn good if you ask me.

I saw the second ep tonight. Jennie Finch is fucking FINE! That game where she pitched to them was lame though. Half of her pitches weren't even close to the plate but the ref was calling strikes. I don't blame that dude for getting pissed at the biased fucking ump.
They call it in in the pros favor alot. They gave the 100m dash to Dan O'Brien cuz his foot "touched" the tape first but the Joe's foot visibly crossed it first.
It's weak that they have the pros pick which 2 go to the finals if there's a 3 way tie. They picked the guy that deserved it the most and a crybaby douchebag. Romo's reasoning was that they went w/ the guys that did the best in football and motherfucking clay pigeon shooting even though the dude they cut was the only one that got a piece of Jennie's pitches... twice. Meh.
