I haven't had a chance to watch the entire game but the offense looks to be clicking. The pitching also looks to be decent.

Eventhough Valentin screwed up last night, it looks like he made good today. Duaner Sanchez looked solid also. Jason Phillips is already ten times better than Ross and Mayne from last year. Also wanted to mention that I love that Jason Repko playing over Ledee.

as good as valentin is doing right now, i hope nakamura takes over for him by the end of the year. valentin is on a hot streak right now, but once he cools down a bit, his average is shit, he can't hit lefthanders and his defense is atrocious. nakamura is still adjusting to mlb pitching, but he's an 8 time all star and 5 time gold glover in the japanese league, so he's gotta be an improvement over valentin at third.

Yeah, I agree. Valentin's career numbers indicate that he will most likely cool off eventually. Dude has a history of striking out A LOT. If Nakamura's healthy, I don't see any reason why he couldn't be successfull in MLB. J.D. Drew's been the biggest disappointment so far. Hopefully he's just adjusting to the new surroundings or something. The x-ray on Lowe's arm was negative so hopefully that won't turn out to be any big deal.

I sure wish Hee Flop Choi will do something productive. If Nak is at all capable of playing first base, I don't see why Choi is still starting. Hell, if Nak played first in the second grade, he should start Tuesday's game.

Or they could have kept Jose Hernandez. He can play most of the infield positions and imo was a better hitter than Cora. If Choi doesn't pick it up they're gonna have to replace him with Saenz.

I know Alvarez, Carrara and Gagn? all didn't take care of themselves this past offseason so it was inevitable they would get injured. The replacements for these guys are Schmoll, Wunch, and Houlton. Needless to say, we need the three fat guys back..
