kurt vs fickett
R1
The fighters traded punches with nothing really landing to start the first period. About 90 seconds in, Pellegrino scored a takedown but was not able to do much with the position. Fickett landed a few elbows from the bottom then escaped to his feet where he glanced a knee and a punch off his opponent's face. Pellegrino then scored another takedown via slam and finished the round in Fickett's guard. Sherdog.com scores the first round 10-9 for Pellegrino.

R2
Round two starts with another Pellegrino takedown. He works from this position until the referee stands them up around the 2:30 mark. Fickett goes for a front choke but Pellegrino escapes. Another restart from the referee. Fickett scores a takedown and finishes the round in Kurt's guard. Sherdog.com scores it 10-9 for Fickett.

R3
Again Pellegrino starts a round with a takedown, where he quickly passed to side-control. Kurt working for the side choke. Fickett escapes and quickly jumps on his opponent's back. Drew Fickett wins via rear naked choke at 1:20 of the third stage.

i would love if the mexican bulldozer somehow beat this french dude. but i doubt it.

elbowsmash

french dude on his ufc.tv interview had a badass tshirt on

im looking for it so i can buy it, therefore i want him to win (and because he actually has alittle bit of striking skills)

you guys should check out neer's interview, dude is mr. personality

hi, im josh neer, i will be fighting josh burkman, and i think this fight will go to a decision (in a robot voice)

elbowsmash

mexican bulldozer is pretty tough, i thought PB would KO him in their first exchange, and should've, but if aldana is one thing, it is tough, dude wont quit no matter how much of his face gets smashed

Aldana with a takedown to start the fight. Not much action forces a ref standup with 3:20 to go in the round. Aldana with another takedown. Kongo reverses the postion and ends up in Aldana's guard. Aldana escapes to his feet, where is roughed up bad by several right hands and knees to the body. After a doctor intervened to check a cut sustained in the standup exchange, he called a stop to the contest at 4:13 of the first stanza due to a cut.

freaking puto's dont put who got cut or who won, but im guessing kongo did

i think at -400 i should've put my whole bankroll on monson, but i didn't

H
07-09-2006, 01:07 AM
probably. he is definetly the superior striker. hence the takedown from Aldana... a TAKEDOWN....from Aldana... i just expected him to bullrush with punches til he got tired and picked apart, or he gets the KO from the bullrush.

i have 5 pts so far

elbowsmash
07-09-2006, 01:09 AM
i think if they allowed headbutts, aldana would be a contender

H
07-09-2006, 01:11 AM
Aldana would also be a contender if he learned how to strike better, and got some cardio. and judging by his fights, id assume he doesnt have much sub knowledge or defense either. probly should work on that too.

Hermes kicks off round one with a right low kick and an overhand right. Pretty slow round with not much happening. Hermes pulls guard with about 20 seconds to go. Jordan lands some good shots within Franca's guard to take the first stanza 10-9.

i hate guard pullers

2nd Round- The round has mainly been on the feet with Franca landing the better strikes which included two big flying knees upon Jordan. But Jordan was able the weather the shots.

shitting my pants might be a bit much, i bet far more on the burkman and kongo fights. but it really pissed me off that i had to fucking refresh sherdog 30 gazillion times just to get an update and reading round by round how drew was getting dominated...

i did call fickett correctly based on his experience though, he knows how to use the cage and capitalize on his opp's mistakes, i bet kurt never had a guy he was winning against just pull a rnc out of his ass

although i'm also ashamed to say i had yves in a parlay with monson and tito, using both locks to bring down the price. but was obviously on the wrong side...

also, the most entertaining match ever would be trigg/ fickett

trigg would beat drew within the last inch of his life from one end of the octagon to the other, throw in couple of powerbombs and "accidental" nut punches, fucking up ficket's nose, jaw and right eye

then with .2 secs left in the 3rd round frank would stand up and taunt drew by screaming "YOOOOOOUUUUU KNOW!!1" and promptly gets reversed and passes out in rnc with .0000012312312 secs left

and the sherdog pbp guy is a dumbass, he called kongo over aldana an upset, when at the fight time kongo's odds were -180, good thing i got my bets in early
