I'm pulling for MAB. I don't care what anyone says, I thought even with a broken nose he was fighting well for himself against the best version of Juarez I've seen to-date.

I always pull for Antonio Barrera. I like his tenacity. His corazon.
I hope that I end up catching this one.

long live mab, one of my favorites
however, he needs to fight pac win and cement his legacy
or more likely, lose and give the belt to the best guy in the div
thats the way i wanna see him go, one or the other, not lose to some bum unworthy to hold his jock
or not fight the very best while he's still capable of winning and retire that way

Is he fighting Pacquiao?

So he's not fighting Pacquiao? Well I don't care then. Wake me when Barrera grows a new set.

After the screwjob ending last time, I hope Marco's head gets put on a swivel and he eats the canvas within the opening 90 seconds of the fight.
Whatever happens, Juarez will have to knock Barrera out to get the win, because I'm sure the corrected scorecards have already been prepared for this one.

hehe give it up, honey. Your fantasy world must get lonely sometimes.

A draw was the right decision in that fight for everyone except HBO. So, they made sure they didn't get one. Even if they had to do some fixing AFTER the fight for a change.

Keep lying, darlin. It will get you the laughs you so dearly long for.

Necro is really besides himself over a decision that was pretty obvious. Makes it sound like he lost 10,000$ on this or something.

I'm not a fan of Juarez or Barrera, but the kid got screwed by HBO. You'd think if they were going to pick a winner via "corrected" scorecard, they'd have gone with the guy that's going to be around for years and years to come.
But everybody knows the old line about HBO standing for house boxers blah blah blah. Boxing has no credibility left with the mainstream sports media or casual fan anyway. Why WOULDN'T a network take the opportunity to give the fight to the guy they've invested in? It's not like they can do any MORE damage to the sport.
Boxing has survived Hagler getting screwed, a John Ruiz title reign, two Hasim Rahman heavyweight championships, multiple steroid scandals, phantom punches, and Derrick Gainer on pay per view. It'll survive a corrected scorecard, too.
I'll just keep my fingers crossed for Jaurez in the rematch. Not becase I'm a fan of his, and not because I dislike Barrera. I'd just prefer to see an HBO guy lose in a way that can't be fixed a half hour after the show.

So, you got anything to base it all on yet? I mean, considering Main Events (Juarez' promo team) stood over the back of the commission as they RIGHTLY found the scoring addition error (not a scoring correction, as you continue to lie about) on the master score sheet and overturned the decision.
WHy was there no protest? Why was there no hard feelings? Because they were RIGHT THERE and saw it all unfold and there was no wrong doing.
Fat cunt.

I guess I'll just have to keep lying about it then, since it'll alway seem fishy as hell to me.
Of course, alternate realities aren't so bad. Like the one where Danny Green beat up James Toney.
Tam-Tam
07-24-2006, 10:22 PM
Like a shutout. So bad was Toney embarrassed, he had to run to his car and grab his gun. I guess when you can't handle your business like a man, run and be a thug again. Reminds me of his run in with Jackie Kallen, don't you think?
I like Barrera but I'm pulling for Juarez. He's the younger fighter and has more of a future. Barrera's near the end of his career. And I completely agree with Tam, he needs to fight Pac again. At least Morales has the fuckin balls to step up again which is more than can be said for MAB.
Necrocide

James Toney IS a loudmouthed thug from the Detroit area. That's not news. But when a skinny kid gets his face busted up and keeps running his mouth, what do you expect to happen from a thug?
Tam-Tam
07-24-2006, 11:21 PM
Take it like a man? I mean, it wasn't bad enough that Green clearly dominated an in shape Toney...he needed a gun as well? Comical.

At what point does dominating someone involve getting your face split open like a ripe melon?
Tam-Tam
07-24-2006, 11:27 PM
Its boxing. That happens, especially when you're dominating a man 100 pounds heavier than you. They tend to cut with a sneeze.

if barerra cant take advantage of that eye, i wont be in the slightest bit suprised if this turns into a draw.
edit: never mind, juarez is fuxed, hes running out of energy, and barerra looks like he could keep this up for many moons.

He was beaten up and wanted to quit, mate. His corner did the right thing. Its a shame they weren't so quick to help out Freitas against Corrales.
