I am ready to be ready, so let's get it on. Here is the place to talk about the prelims. Remember to keep the prelim talk in here. They MAY have time to air some of the prelim fights on the PPV so don't discuss them anywhere else.

Here is the card, order may or may not be correct:

FRANKIE EDGAR vs. MARK BOCEK

CHRIS LYTLE vs. JASON GILLIAM

JORGE GURGEL vs. DIEGO SARAIVA

STEPHAN BONNAR vs. MIKE NICKELS

Bocek lost the standing battle and was stuffed when trying take downs apparently. Edgar was landing punches and the fight was stopped.

Well I was unsure about Bocek as I had never seen him, but I was pretty sure Edgar was taking this one. Now for the GIzzard fight.

So I figured Gilliam would lose to a sub after watching him fight Varner. Lytle has a better arsenal.

Figured. Gurgel has definitely NOT lived up to his self hypr in the UFC. Though the fight may still be better watching it.

Gurgel has beaten no one of merit and hasnt fought in a year. his spot is wholly undeserved.

He was wrong, but wasn't saying 'Edgar sux!' or 'Canadians rool the octagon!!', you're lumping him in with others that were posting I think. I agree.

I also believe that the fight was stopped kind of shitty, but Bocek was getting tooled all over the place. Who knows if it would have kept up. I think it would have, but we have seen stranger.

The stoppage was pure crap. Bocek didn't look that bad either for his first time in the big show and all and against though against a likely future champion in Edgar. . I'd like to see what he brings in his next showing and hope to see all of the 'octagon jitters' or whatever they're calling it nowadays taken care of.

Yeah, I imagine it was a bigger rush then he is used to. He did land a shot to drop him, but really did nothing else you know. Like I said though, if it wouldn;t have been stopped, he might have gotten a break in the next round. I stick by my pick though.

Well, Edgar was decisively the better fighter that night, regardless. I think everyone can agree on that much.

Did Lytle look better than ever in that fight, or what? I can't remember him looking that good ever and Gilliam isn't that bad at all to have made him look so smooth.

You weren't right fuck tard, you had nothing to support what at the time was a totally unfounded point of Edgar's striking automatically being better than that of Bocek's whihc was widely unknown at the time simply because Frank showcased sharp boxing skills in one fight.

I said this even b4 the fight happened that no matter how it played out your analysis was wrongly dismissive, totally unfounded, and just plain shitty.

Yeah I know its an old issue, I just kinda checked out this thread again today on Mozilla, wher I am not logged in autmotatically, and I don't know, that fuckin prick just has a lot of nerve after I went thru so much trouble informing him why my point was valid and his was not regardless of how the fight went.
