If you did it in team format, with the unified weight classes, male and female, I think Japan would have too many people in the lower weights to even really compete with in terms of sheer volume of winners.

114-155 would most likely be a shut out for Japan.

I think US would be able to take 155.
If we could keep BJ there at least. With as much as I hate him, I don't think there is anyone at that weight that would bring him down.

but... everything under 155... yes... thats all Japan

I think Sherk would give alot of Japanese lightweights big problems as well.

I was thinking of that the other day. I was trying to find a LW, in general, that would give sherk problems. And I couldn't really think of that many people that would give him a big problem. It's completely apparent that knees are gonna be his big weakness... which puts Hansen up there. I just think it would be interesting to see him in a GP.:(

Shaolin could def beat Sherk. So could Kawajiri.

Actually Id give a really high chance to both.

Sherk is totally unstoppable at 155, we can say this with utmost confidence, seeing as he has the resume to back it...... wait a second.

Kilroy

Im not saying Sherk is unstoppable at LW.

Im just saying he would give alot of Japanese lightweights problems, like I see Sherk beating Gomi without big problems and Sakurai as well.

But Kawajiri and Aoki does have pretty good chances me thinks.

Mahha not giving a fuck and just coming out with flying knees > Franca's knees.

I'll take Cuba. We haven't seen their MMA stars yet. It'll be like boxing domination internationally, and baseball, except without all the defections due to actually being well paid in other countries for their talents, they need not worry about that in MMA, Socialist stipends are likely comparable....plus, Castro loves Jiu Jitsu even more than hardball, magic tricks, cigars and raft target practice I hear.

I'm betting on Korea for the future.

They need to abduct some Japanese fighters first to teach them how to hone and channel their rage though...

Oh wait, "abducting Japanese" is N.Korea, not South... well, either side will do fine, I guess...

I think this trend of any fighter with decent wrestling and GNP being tipped as a heavy favourite to beat Sakurai is getting kinda out of hand :o

Mork had surgeries to fix his nose and some other shit, and he's been recovering and chilling. I think he's finally read to fight.

Also, reps to Dan for Lithuania love.

Tony Bonello would fight in every event, in every division and win with zero difficulty providing entertaining matches jam-packed with jaw dropping highlights along the way.

Morkevicius' doctor has told him to never fight again....that was just before the Masato fight where the towel was oddly* thrown kinda early.

*for those that didn't know it prior to the fight.

Just because the only feature difference between you two is your neck doesn't mean you have to go around posting his picture at every opportunity.

Brazil having so much top 3 talent would field a pretty menacing team even with some outstanding guys in the lighter classes.
