I have no idea It's what I've done for about two years now on a cut .
heres mayhem's cutting plan:
Training by Mayhem
Alot of people ask me about my diet down from 190 to 170 and how I train, since I'm all about the free exchange of ideas, I've decided to write out an average day, to help the more inexperienced. I posted this on my myspace blog,(http://profiles.myspace.com/users/113901) and wanted to put this up since Sherdog is such a cool website. I know most of you think that I'm going to get my ass kicked, but not-gonna-happen. Here's how I train and eat.
Breakfast: Black Coffee, Oatmeal, non fat Cottage Cheese. (I LIVE ON SPLENDA and cinniman)
Intense Cardio: Sprinting etc. The key is to keep your heart rate blasting for intervals so you get physically exhausted, but not mentally worn out, so you really push yourself. The key is to keep your heart rate up and continously push, for about an hour.
Snack: Bannana, two egg whites
relax, email, read etc.
Lunch: Sweet potato, Can of Tuna, Spinach
Kickbox wrestling: Combing the two is the only way to get the feeling that you get in the actual fight, plus it's a ton of fun. Don't get your block rocked too much, you don't want to get brain damaged- you should only spar hard twice or three times a week, but never do that fake tag-sparring. It is unrealistic and teaches bad habits. You have to be used to hitting and getting hit.
or
Ju Jitsu: with the gloves- you have to be used to wearing them, it is quite different than grappling without them. Also get used to punching on the ground with them on, it's key that you mix everything, so you don't go into a single mode in the fight.
Dinner: Chicken breast, broccolli, carrots
watch adult swim, more net, maybe some Halo 2 on Xbox live
snack: decaf green tea Grapes. read a little, pass out and do it again
enjoy!

I just run the day before, lose 20 pounds, then gain it back right after the weighins. This way, I don't have to eat horrible tasting shit.
