This one's being talked about alot. I for one am still unsure about the outcome of Ninja vs. Rampage... ANYways, after the match as most of you know Shogun was kinda pissed about the result and amicably challenged Rampage in the ring.
Not a good move imo. Shogun is good, but he's still very green. Rampage would tear him limb from limb with sufficent preparation. Rua doesn't have Silva's power... I don't see him rocking Rampage at all. Trying to make a name for yourself is all well and good - but someone should really explain the concept of "too much, too soon." to Rua.

Rua by GOD not wanting Rampage to be aggressive.

For whatever reason, I really think Shogun would win this fight. He has more of the Vanderlei spirit than Ninja.

I'll give you the aggression, sure. I just don't think he has enough behind his strikes - yet - to damage Rampage. He'd over-power and ruin Shogun I think. Look at the Namekawa and Gono fights... took a while to finish those guys.
It'd be a show-stealer for sure though.

Rampage is a complete wildcard at this stage. Until he shows that he can have his 'old' killer instinct with his 'new' love of god, then I'm not convinced that he will win again. If he doesn't rediscover his will to hurt people, he is going nowhere. He will go down as one of the greatest wastes of talent in MMA if he doesn't right his ship. I sincerely hope he rediscovers that killer instinct and comes back strong but I'm not holding my breath.

Rampage will smother shogun who is just a beefy 185'er he was comming off a broken nose from the ninja fighta nd took the fight on short notice. With full training and without having to worry about his nose he will destroy shogun.

I don't agree with all that. I mean the guy had 1 bad fight. A night off and he's "lost the killer instinct?" I don't think so. Silva wrecked him and he struggled against Ninja, sure, but I think it's much too early to say he's wasted talent. If anything I see him slamming the crap out of Shogun and thus refilling his bandwagon with fresh recruits.
I'm a big Shogun fan, though. I'd love to see him win this but let's face it - Shogun's used to being a big fish in a small pond, let's see how he does swimming with the sharks.

Rampage was VERY pissed at himself after the Ninja fight...
Watch, whomever Rampage fights in his next couple fights...
I feel very very bad for. I think we are going to have a new definition of Rampage in teh ring.

I'm not saying he WILL go down as a big disapointment, just that he will if he doesn't change things. He hasn't looked as aggresive his last two fights. I'm not convinced that it isn't related to his new attitude. Untill he shows some killer instinct with his new outlook on life, I'm not convinced that he can make a comeback. If he comes back strong against Shogun then, hey, everythings fine. But he really can't afford to have another bad showing right now. I don't really give a damn about his religous views. I just want to see the 'old' Rampage back in there doing his thang. Rampages two biggest strengths were his Strength and his Attitude. He needs both to be succesful. I don't mean that he has to renounce his religion or anything, just that he needs to walk into that ring with the intention to do serious violence to his opponents.

First off..
Regardless of how well he fought, his persona is what made him. The growling and howling and chains and cursing and woman...
all of that is what made him so much fun to watch. Then, on top of all that, he could really whoop dat ass. He even called that his strategy. Whoop dat ass...
Rampage needs to find peace with himself and his "god" for whatever that may mean and get in there and tell people to shut the fuck up. I wanna call Rampage and tell him he isnt the same guy and have him tell me to shut the fuck up. THAT guy is the one I miss.

Rampage didn't look so hot against Bustamante either. Then in his next fights he stops Chuck and takes Wand to the limit.
I will say this though, Rampage's interviews now are fucking BORING. The one thing I always liked about him was that he was the kind of guy you'd want to have a beer or 12 with. Boy, did that appeal get all shot to hell.

I'll be pulling for Rampage, but he hasn't had that aggression within him for a while. Can't be find a happy medium between having God in his life and beating the living hell out of his opponent in the ring? I still remember the interview in FightSport magazine where every other word out of his mouth was "motherfucker". :D

i think Rampage would handle Shogun if hey fought as well. assuming that Rampage has his cardio up for this fight, i just don't think Shogun has the power and strength to deal with Rampage.
