Round 1
Grice came out aggressive and threw Black to the canvas. Black then went from a Kimura from his back, but Grice was able to clear his opponent's guard to escape the hold. Near the end of the round, Black again went for a Kimura from the bottom, and had it deep with a closed-guard as times expired. The first frame went to Black on the Sherdog.com score card, 10-9.

Jason Black vs. Matt Grice
R1 – Grice got a takedown early and worked to pass guard, but Black was active as well, attempting several submissions including a couple of Kimura’s and an armbar. Grice defended the attempts well though, scored several takedowns throughout the round and was very busy working from Black’s guard. MMAWeekly scores the round 10-9 for Grice.

Round 2
Excellent action in the second stanza. Grice came out and busted Black with a left hand that sent him crashing to the canvas. Grice pounced and blasted away with strikes from the top, nearly finishing the fight. Black then rolled Grice over and slapped on a triangle-choke from the top position, and the returned the favor with vicious punches to the head of Grice. The referee easily could have stepped in but he let the round close with Black teeing off. Sherdog.com sees the frame 10-10.

Bishop

R2 – Grice dropped Black on his face at the opening. He followed Black down immediately, but couldn’t finish him. Out of nowhere, Black landed a triangle choke, but Grice got up out of it. Then Black nearly secured a Kimura. Grice rolled over and Black mounted and rained down blow near the end of the round; another close round in a phenomenal fight. MMAWeekly scores the round 10-9 for Black.

R2 ? The entire round was spent standing with Burkman looking really tired and his hands down. They exchanged blows throughout the round with Petz getting the better of the majority of the exchanges and Burkman just looking very tired. MMAWeekly scores the round 10-9 for Petz.

Round 2
Burkman started strong again in the second, but it was Petz who took control. Digging shots to the body, sharp work to the head and the occasional knee from the clinch secures the round for Petz on the Sherdog card, 10-9.
