VBOOKIE EVENT: KOSTYA TSZYU VS RICKY HATTON (WBC 140 LB TITLE) June 4th, 2005

This Vbookie event will be for the fight listed above which is being broadcast by Showtime on Saturday evening of this week. Reigning WBC champion Kostya Tszyu comes in as the heavy favorite to win this bout over rising english challenger Ricky Hatton. Tszyu, with a sterling record of 31-1(25 KO's) has faced some of t he very best in the world including destroying highly regarded Zab Judah inside of 2 rounds. Tszyu has not lost since 1997, and he even avenged that defeat via a KO victory over contender Vince Phillips. Ricky Hatton is a very well know fighter inside of the UK circles but he has not had a great deal of exposure to US audiences. He is a strong pressure oriented fighter, but the knock on him is that his competition level has been far from the strongest. Can Hatton rise to the occasion on his first major step up in opposition or will he fold against the heavily favored Tszyu? Place your bets and find out this saturday night!

Honestly, Hatton's been in with plenty of guys good enough to show his ability. He's a tough ass pressure fighter who will punish any opponent who stands in front of him's body til they either open up their head to something big or just say, "fuck it" and crumble.

Tszyu won't be running but he will be gunnin. When his fucken howitzers land Hatton will realize no fucken sparring partners in England or anywhere else can duplicate the haymakers Tszyu delivers ... or they'd be champs and not sparring partners.

Tszyu by 10 rd KO ... Hatton will figure he's acquitted himself well enough to be considered the heir apparent and swoon by then before he is totally defenseless and beaten out of the ring.
