Weekly says:

JASON MACDONALD VS. JOHN SALTER

R1 – The fighters clinch up early with Salter pressing MacDonald to the cage. They separate briefly with MacDonald landing a sharp inside leg kick, but are quickly back to the clinch. They are separated by the ref. MacDonald lands a kick to the head, but is quickly taken down. He lands awkwardly with his left foot tangled up underneath him, injuring the ankle and the fight is stopped. The ankle, or just above the ankle, appears to be broken. John Salter wins.

John Salter def. Jason MacDonald by TKO (Injury) at 2:42, R1

YOSHIYUKI YOSHIDA VS. MIKE GUYMON

R1 – The fighters clinch and Yoshida presses Guymon to the fence. Guymon takes Yoshida down, putting him on his back, but Yoshida locks on and arm-in guillotine choke. Guymon patiently works his way out, unloading a couple heavy forearm blows on his way back to his feet. He manages a guillotine of his own on the standing Yoshida. Yoshida escapes and presses Guymon to the fence, trying to find a takedown, but Guymon drives home a few knees to the legs and reverses position. Yoshida lands a stiff right jab to the chin then follows with a solid combination before getting rocked by some hard punches from Guymon, who then takes Yoshida down and starts unloading with forearms and punches, but not with enough time to finish the fight.

MMAWeekly.com scores the round 10-9 for Guymon

Weekly:

R2 – Guymon unleashes a couple hard knees to the body before taking Yoshida down. He moves to full mount and starts to drop shots, but Yoshida deftly escapes, making his way back to the feet. Yoshida attempts to pull Guymon down with a guillotine choke, but Guymon slips out and starts pounding away. They return to their feet, Yoshida going for a takedown, but he virtually gets spiked as they wrestle back to the mat, Guymon quickly taking Yoshida’s back and locking on a rear naked choke. Yoshida escapes and eventually passes to side control, but Guymon ties up his head and keeps moving to negate Yoshida’s offense.

R3 – Guymon starts the round landing a couple hard kicks to the body then follows with some punches that have Yoshida hurt. The Japanese fighter looks very tired at this point. He eats a knee from Guymon then shoots for the takedown, eventually landing in Guymon’s half guard. Guymon blocks his ground and pound and Yoshida takes his back, but Guymon reverses before the two make their way up to their feet. Guymon quickly puts Yoshida back down and moves to mount. Yoshida turns, but Guymon takes his back briefly before Yoshida turns again and gives Guymon a half-mount position. Guymon is basically in a sitting position on top of Yoshida, against the fence, driving elbows and punches home to his head. Yoshida tries to escape but Guymon continues punishing him from half guard until the bell sounds.

Watching MMA live with the prelims going on in the background is frustrating. But it's also cool to have a show on ESPN reporting from the actual event.

Anyone catch the Davis ko of JOGO? I just saw on sherdog that it might have been premature.....but I had Davis winning by KO from the second I saw this fight come up on the card. How legit was it? Sounds like Jogo was in trouble anyways, but I just wanna know if it was clean/legit or not

Is it just me, of does GSP look bigger than Rashad right now?

I was drinking with Rashad a few months ago and hes a pretty tall guy. Is he all legs or something?

In all seriousness, I wonder what's up with Shogun's knee. Which knee is it and is it really hurt or just a rumor? That shit can be career ending seeing how many times he has injured it. :( If he loses, maybe he should take a year off or something to recover %100.
