I'm going with the Reem. Certainly not just because of his MMA success, because that wouldn't do it alone, but his wins in K-1 and his 3 belts for the year have raised his stock maybe far beyond his true value, but soon we'll see.

Shit, I didn't even consider his K-1 performance... He really deserves that as "fighter" of the year, if not necesarrily "MMArtist" of the year.

Ok, Uru, I want to hear this. Sonnen for fighter of the year. Certainly the most publicized fighter of the year.
What are your reasons?
Everyone else get voting!

I honestly thought I was going to be alone with the Dominic Cruz vote, but I am shocked he is ahead at the time. I think he had the biggest impact in his division, along with the quietest rise to the top.

I just think he deserves some credit for how well he's been doing lately. No one really gave him a chance coming back into the UFC, especially after his fight with Maia.
But I can see where your skepticism comes from considering how anti-Sonnen you are. :o

I hate the guy, but that doesn't preclude him from foty. I put him in there because he certainly has been the most talked about fighter of 2010. Love him or hate him, he hasn't let you ignore him.
