Im actually quite suprised Bob Sapp was able to fight 8 rounds in a night. good for him.

wait, what?!? Bob Sapp won a K-1 tournament? regardless of the talent involved in the tournament, I am truly impressed with the results here....8 rounds, that goes to show that he does have some gas in the tank

thats pretty much what i said. reguardless of the talent, which really wasnt that bad to begin with, he did pretty well going 8 rounds on a 375lb frame. Also he didnt get injured somehow. I want Sapp vs Choi at the 16 man final in october!

yeah. i like Sapp more than that guy. lesser evil of the freaks. id imagine thats the fight to happen since their gonna want a freak in the final 8.

semmy, size-wise, is also part of the freak show....but the guy is a tremendous K-1 talent. i'm sure they will pair semmy against a lower tier fighter to get him in to the GP finals. I just hope he doesn't end up getting hurt

Semmy has actually been taken out of the freak category, along with Mighty Mo due to their tremendous success thusfar. Semmy is a bad man in k-1 due to his size and reach combined with skill. his front kicks are nasty.

I actually bet Sapp to win this. No he is not the elite of K-1 but look the other fighters in the tournament...

If i don't have anything better to do I will watch this event when eurosport show this... maybe.

it was a good event. the fighters werent bad at all. it was the fact that Sapp gets injured in fights, and the fact that he is 375lbs and everyone thought he would gas. i was wrong on both points.

ok, now how many times did the refs stop the rounds so Sapp could catch his breath?

they only had an intermission of 20 mins at the final because Sefo KO that russian fucker in 37 seconds.

yeah, Hiroshima is a qualifier. even if it wasnt, im sure it would have become one since Sapp won it.

It is easy to look good when the fighters are less than GP level and half your size. Even more so woth help from the refs.

That said, Sapp did show improvement.
