What are your thoughts on this? I feel if Tszyu couldn't stop (as in KO/TKO) Hatton then Mayweather may struggle to as well. If it isn't stopped by a KO or cuts do you think Mayweather can outwork Hatton to a decision taking into account Hatton has an incredibly high work rate which he can maintain throughout a whole fight? Will Mayweather be able to keep Hatton off him?

I would plunk down the cash for a PPV to see this. I could see this being a lot like Castillo/Mayweather 1 where Floyd was troubled by Castillo constantly being on him. Mayweather by close UD would be my call

Frank Warren seemed more anxious to make a match between Carlos Maussa and Hatton i thought. That would make more sense for Ricky because he should be able to maul him. Maussa fights dirty but Ricky would just nail him right back. If Ricky had two belts going into a Mayweather showdown, he might add another mil to his pay IMO

I don't think Hatton is ready for Mayweather yet, he should get a few more big but safe fights under his belt before he takes on the elite.

My ideal next fight for Hatton would be anyone but Mayweather. I think Hatton can beat anyone in the division, but Floyd would be by far the toughest challenge and i might have to even ditch my biased British views and say i would expect a Mayweather decision to be the result.

However i can see why Hatton wants this fight, it'll have the biggest payout by far compared to anyone else at 140.

Hatton could tire Tszyu out and constantly hug-'n-mug him, but as big a fan as i am of the Aussie bomber, he doesn't have no where near the wheels and handspeed of PBF. Lots of people say age caught up to Kostya and he got tired, but for someone who spars 10-15 minute ROUNDS w/ several guys, Mayweather is gonna match or even surpass Ricky's stamina. He won't get tired, and can stay on his bike the entire time, picking off the slower Hatton who'll try and smother, walking in head first.

i still say Castillo is a much more skilled fighter than Hatton, who imo relies on superb conditioning and athletic ability more than actual technical skills.

i'd rather see Judah face Mayweather, who i feel has the best chance of anyone to win.

yeah, i think that's exactly how it'd go too.

hey kamehameha, is that benitez on your avatar?

i just saw benitez palomino on one of espn's edited classic fights. man, those guys would really swing their punches, just like the old timers. when they missed their uppercuts, they really missed their uppercuts. they really put their body into the punch and go for it. they do recover pretty well, though. it was cool seing benitez in the end of the 14th laying on the ropes and making palomino miss then countering.

i kinda miss that style; too many fighters now are too efficient and even under commit in their punching.
