Kaokrai and Takeda's fights look like they make the show to me. Is this group affiliated with K1?

Nitta, Corbett, Uchida and Slowinski are ll decent names, as are several others.

TITANS is run by Masato's trainer. Last event they had several k-1 signed fighters/guests there, and K-1 were the ones that got me press creds for the event, which was a damned good show despite a weird result or two.

Oh, and welcome katamari. LOL

Hiroki Ishii vs. Jalernchai - Rajadamnern LW title match

Just to add some insight:

Kozo Takeda is a Japanese Muay Thai legend, he's a former Rajadamnern Stadium welterweight champion (and also a Shin Nihon Kickboxing welterweight champion), and he?s currently ranked at super-welterweight (third). He's fought about 29 Thai and his overall record is 40 wins, 13 losses and 5 draws. Holds victories over Big Ben, Charmdam, Kaokrai and Yonsak.

John Wayne Parr needs no introduction; he now has the chance to win the K-1 MAX World GP tournament and also to become the first WBC champion in the span of a month.

Hiroki Ishii is pound for pound one of the best fighters in Japan, possesses powerful kicks and can throw some slick elbows. He's the current Shin Nihon Kickboxing lightweight champion and ranked 10th in the Rajadamnern LW division. Some thought he won his last bout (and if you try you could make a case that he lost), but the judges didn't agree and he got a draw out of it which funnily enough happened to his stable mate Toshio Matsumoto as well when he seemingly defeated Fuji Chalmsak before his big title challenge.

Trading elbows with his opponent would be a big mistake; Jalernchai is a very dangerous fighter. Ishii drew with Noppakao last time out, but Jalernchai dropped him and cut him twice as well to win an easy point decision (although Noppakao rallied back stronger in this fight than he did against Ishii).

Kaoklai has already beaten Nakasako and even though I think the latter has the skills to do well I think that he's weakened mentally. He was thrown to the sharks early on and he still managed to show some potential here and there, but lately he's been sleepwalking through his fights and not in a way that ensures him the victory either.

Kaoklai is a former Rajadamnern welterweight and super-welterweight champion and traded wins with Fuji Chamlsak and Charnvit. Has lost to Kozo Takada and Toshio Matsumoto (twice), but managed to knock them both down.

Shin Noppadetsorn is always a champion when he fights in Japan it seems and he's still the current Rajadamnern welterweight champion. He's a tough fighter and has beaten Ohno and Yilmaz (last Titans) in K-1 affiliated events. He defended his title against Charnvit in Japan in his last fight.

Akeomi Nitta is a warrior, plain and simple. Has held titles in NJKF and AJKF (at middleweight) and will forever have my respect and gratitude when he wiped that smirk off of Kit Cope's face by knocking him out. Has also held the WKPL world and WKA world super-welterweight titles. Beat Takayuki Kohiruimaki with leg kicks (KO - for all the Kohi hates out there) in their first fight, but also lost to him. Recently managed to fight himself back to the top, until a killer teep and an inconsistent force called Kojiro put a stop to it.

Lamsongkram is the current Rajadamnern middleweight champion; he (viciously) beat HAYAT0 to claim the championship in a decision match. Then managed to run over Matsumoto which was quite a surprise as he was already knocked out twice (in the first round!) by him, but it was not to be and he defended it successfully. Has problems with big punchers it seems, but if you can't catch him it's going to be a long night.

Ryuji Goto hasn't looked all that great since leaving Shootboxing and recently dropped a decision to Farid Villaume. Is capable of doing great things when he's on top of his game. Notice a slowly developing pattern? Yeah, I'm trying to slow down. Last success was probably beating one of Holland's new hopes and internet sweetheart Tyrone Spong.

Kikuchi is the Shin Nihon featherweight champion and another very good fighter. Won his fight quite comfortably over his South Korean opponent (last fight) and if he gets it going this should be a good one. Chris White is the WMTA South Pacific champion (everyone's a champion nowadays) and won his bout at the last TITANS. Kikuchi dropped a decision to Jomtong at the very same event.

Kamura is the bantamweight champion, and is a pretty good fighter. His opponent is ranked second in the division. Kamura lost to Chris White at the last titans, which I guess was unexpected.

Noboru Uchida is one of the best Japanese heavyweight fighters, but that doesn't say much. Carnage on the other hand is also one of the best in his division, but there's not much competition so the same counts for him as well. He's a good fighter with quite some power. Beat Lee Myeong Ju at the last Titans, battered Tomihira at X-PLOSION last year and recently defeated Mohammed Magomedov. Uchida beat Michael McDonald last year; I won't claim it was a robbery. Not much happened and it's your own fault (IMO) if you allow it to go that far, then he beat Alexey Ignashov which to me didn't sound like a surprise considering Iggy's condition.

Should be a good one, on paper at least.

katamari.
Do I look like a rolling ball to you?

Yes.

Toshio Fujiwara won the same title back in 1978 (in Tokyo), Hitoshi Ogasawara won the title in the stadium itself by first round KO and Takeda won his in Korakuen Hall by second round KO.

He was undefeated this year, earning a high ranking at Rajadamnern (super-welterweight) on the way. He went to war with JWP with Parr commenting that it was important for him to keep his "poker face" throughout the fight. It was said that they fought without holding back to ensure a spectacle for the crowd.

TITANS 1 is available on the e-market (bootleg) and once it has aired you'll probably have to settle for that for the second edition as well. Unless I've been sleeping and the official DVD is out.

I'm impressed with Ishii, Jalernchai's elbows didn't give him too much problems and he was competitive. He's constantly improving and as one writer stated "claiming the title in the future isn't just a dream".
