I had my first taste of BJJ today, and I gotta say I am HOOKED. Mr. Holanda (BTT/Gama Academy, www.fabioholanda.com) was very helpful, and his entire team were excellent, especially considering how green we were. A very nice seminar where we worked some basic positioning and submissions, with Gi - and some light conditionning.

Thanks to the guys from Magokoro Dojo - look forward to starting up in Sepetember, now I just gotta work on my conditioning in these next few weeks! :D

See you guys at TKO on the 15th, and good luck on your upcomming fight Fabio!

Yeah I'm the guy far left, back row. I look like I have teh double chin there. And as for the girl, bring that up in BK - not here. Fabio I beleive will get his black belt this year.

Damn you'se now Im gonna have to find someone reasonably prices and jump in myself. 170lb weight class here I come.

Ya know, you've also got Coban the Crusher teaching muay thai in your town, definetely be worth checking out if you wanna do striking

Fabio trains with BTT and BTT Canada, not sure who he trained with over in Brazil but here here's the BJJ instructor to folks like GSP, Patric Cote and Thierry Quennville.

I'm interviewing him soon for his upcomming fight, so we'll get all the details then.

Very nice guy.

here's some more pictures of the Magokoro Dojo. It's a great location and these guyshave set it up much better than any other gym I've seen in town. It is a bit small, for now, but over the next two months that far wall is coming down to about triple the size - they'll be installing a boxing ring and I beleive they mentionned a cage as well. Max, the owner, could correct me there if he registers...

I actually have a great place to train if I move to NYC next spring.....

Nice man, good to see.

I'm in Calgary this week and am going down to Canuckles(Ratt's referal) and getting a month or so membership there. Get some MMA training.
