The FAQ states that I can get an RSS feed in MyYahoo.

Where can I find the RSS feed?
The administrator may have enabled RSS syndication, this allows you to view newly created threads in guest viewable forums without visiting the board.

The feeds are currently provided in two formats, RSS and RSS v2. The differences are as follows:

RSS 0.91 - This feed is based on a standard written by netscape and provides a link and the title of the thread.
http://www.bloodyknux.com/forum/external.php?type=rss
RSS 2.0 - This feed contains title, author, date and the contents of the first post of the thread.
http://www.bloodyknux.com/forum/external.php?type=rss2
To add this to MyYahoo click here.

The forums to which this applies can also be limited to specific guest viewable forums by adding another paramater to the URL containing the forumids as follows:
http://www.bloodyknux.com/forum/external.php?type=rss2&forumids=123

If you would like the content to be generated for multiple forums you can seperate the forumids by commas.

I have tried to add the RSS content a couple of times but I continue to get the same error. See attached screen shot.

Is this not implemented? Any ideas?

We don't have RSS feeds for our news yet.

For you to receive the feed we have to implement a way to provide the XML markup of our news which your RSS client will poll from us. It may definitely come in the future (not for posts though, only news), but we'll see how we can solve this easily since we're not 100% sure on how to go about with the front page.

ok, thanks. I was hoping that it would work for posts as well but I can imagine how hard that would be to implement. As well, it would surely fill a RSS news client in a hurry with teh volume of posts around here. anyway, thanks again.

Even now, providing RSS feeds for each forum providing every post would flood the client, so I don't think that's a good idea at all.

For the news & articles section though, it's definitely worth taking a look at.

I know, but the way RSS feeders are currently, I'd feel better programming one myself. As I've said, that's not something I'm worrying about right now since we're still in the process of creating a proper front page.
What was the one you tried called?

I'll have to go find it again for you but I will

Nothing to worry about, it's just good to know what to NOT use, but as I said, I may write it myself instead unless there's a proper trustworthy one for vb.

Bump
I would really like a Rss feed especially if you could set it up to only show MMA threads in the feed
