Best Damn Sports Show Period(FOX SPORTS) Card/PBP for July 21st

Two main bouts are Sam Soliman, IBF no 1 middleweight contender out of Australia vs Fernando Zuninga and the return(foolishly) to heavyweight for Vasilly Jirov against Orlin Norris. If this is not tape delayed in my area i will do a PBP when it happens. Norris/Jirov could have been fun to watch about 5 years ago at cruiserweight, not so fun now.

Jirov keeping the shorter Norris at bay with a good jab. Norris running away for the most part, making Vasilly chase him. Norris doing nothing offensively. Jirov works trhe body well. Easy round for Vasily

Norris coming forward at Vasily but neither man doing much, Jirov getting the better of things so far with his jab and slipping Orlins effectively Nice right hand by Orlin stops Vasily for a moment.Low blow by Vasily, Norris i think steals this 10-9

Jirov starts by working the jab to the body. Good right hand by Norris. 1-2 body head combo by vasilly misses. Another low blow by Jirov. Jirov working the body effectively. Round to Jirov 10-9

Jirov the agressor so far with body work. Norris trying to follow up inside whe Jirov works the body but not very successful.Low blow Jirov gets away with. Norris being more effective with his jab but cant throw more than two punches at a time. End of the round Vasily lands an effective combo which Norris counters wuth a stiff jab. Still 10-9 Jirov

Wrestling match to start the round inside.neither man doing much so far. Tieup with Jirov rabbitpunching. The heat is effecting both men. Jirov outpunching Norris 2 to 1 but not effectively, Good bodywork by Vasily. Right hand backs up Jirov to end the round but it still goes 10-9 Jirov

Ugly inside fight with both men trading short punches. Jirov landing body shots at will,Long inactivity periods interrupted by the occasional jab by vasily. God they are stalling now. Jirov with a few effective hooks to end the round which he takes for simply landing some punches. 10-9 vasily

No real sense of urgency from either man, Jirov with better work now has norris tied up on the ropes Norris going for the home run punch eats a left. Norris landing a couple of right hands that stun Jirov. Jirov gets his mouthpiece knocked out at the end of the round and i give this to norris. 10-9 orlin

I looked out the window, and some dumbass had rear-ended some other dumbass out in the street. They were both freaking out, and it was absolutely hilarious.

Slow start. Soliman trying to duck under Zunigas jab and get some body work in via the jab and left. Soliman quick to get in on Zuniga.Soliman staying out of range from Zuuniga's wild shots.Action slow a bit with 45 seconds to go.nice body head combo by sam. I go 10-9 soliman

Soliman starts the round by ducking down and working inside on the taller man,.Soliman eats an uppercut coming in. Zuniga tags SOliman with a big left that snaps Sam's head back. Soliman works in with a nbice right hand, He is lunging too much though. Zuniga is catching Soliman with some solid shots as he lunges in but sam is making his case for the round by bullying in and pushing zuniga tot he ropes. Nice right by sam snaps zuniga head back. i say 10-9 zuniga as he lands a nice left at the bell

Quick note a big cut will happen the way they are clashing heads.


Soliman comes out fast and nails Zuniga with a left to the body and a right to the head. Soliman getting inside a bit easier and landing the right. Zuniga ties up Soliman. Soliman keeps coming straight at Zuniga and working the body. Nice right by Sam. Zuniga getting tagged by big shots countered by a nice jab to soliman. Sam not letting Zuniga getting set for counters as he is moving quickly. Body head combo ends a dominating round for soliman. 10-9 sam

Soliman continues to work inside. Zuniga lands a nice uppercut leaning back when sam comes in. Goody hook to the body by Fernando. Soliman lands a nice shot form a awkward angle. Nice right to the head by Sam. Zuniga ties sam up but he works a right uppercut. Soliman landing easily in this round and making fernando miss. Soliman gets stunned by a big right. Soliman ends the round with nice bodywork and looks the aggressor. 10-9 sam

Sam gets the early shots in and he is still boring in on Zuniga, Both men tied up on the ropes. Soliman with a flurry to back up Zuniga, Zuniga eats a nice right. Zuniga rocked by a Soliman uppercut and he is slowing up. The heat is affecting this bout. Uppercut by Zuniga moves soliman back. The two trades flurries at the end of the round but i think sam did more. 10-9 sam

Wrestling to start. Slow start by both but sam begins to bore in. Rabbit punch by Sam,. Right and an uppercut by sam countered by a zuniga left. Zuninga hits sam with a right as he comes in a la hamed with hands down. Slow up in action with both men pawing jabs until sam lands a clean right shot. Soliman throwing punches in bunches to end the round. 10-9 sam

Sam has decided that Zuniga can't hurt him. He's showing absolutely no respect for Fernando's power at all. Soliman is charging in, leaving himself wide fucking open, absorbing anything Zuniga tags him with, and is just mauling him all over the ring. Zuniga has only won 1 round so far, I think.

Soliman keeps coming in on Zuniga. Zuniga slips after a right by sam no knockdown though. Zuniga running away a bit now. Sam keeps coming. Soliman landing 2 out of 3 shot each flurry. Zuniga getting bullied around the ring and not doing much to stop it now. Zuniga throwin a jab but not much more than that Soliman landing the occasional right. Nice right by Zuniga ends the round but once again i go 10-9 soliman

Soliman is looking like a bigger Fenech. Mauling and brawling and showing alot of toughness. He does leave himself open though, good thing hes not fighting Jackson or McClellan.

Zuniga not doing much and sam is winning by throwing more at this point. Soliman lands a good right but takes a left in return. Soliman slwoing a bit. Slower round but Sam controls it due to his flurries being somewhat effective. Zuniga is doing nothign. 10-9 soliman

Zuniga lands his most effective right of the fight in the first minute of the round. Soliman shakes it off and returns to fighting on the inside. Soliman lands the more effective sdhots from what i can see this round. 10-9 sam

Zuniga's corner tells him to go for the KO. Soliman responds by boring in on him again with bodywork and a nice uppercut to the head. Movement of soliman is befuddling fernando. Left hook to the body by zuniga. Right hand by zuniga countered by two soliman shots. Zuniga lands a nice right that backs up sam temporarily. Sam goes back in on fernando as he is going for the home run shot now. ZUniga backed up a right but Soliman is stopped dead in his tracks by a big left. Hard blows echanged by both men at the end of the round and i think Zuniga takes it. Still an easy UD for Sam
