first check in from Bishop, and Michihisa Asano Wins by guillotine choke in the 1st round. happened real quick, Straight right and a left hook put him down and he locked in the choke and he went out. Killer Bees are 1 for 1.

Fukuda wins by 2nd TKO. He took his opponents back sunk in the hooks and began reigning punches. Landless had to stop the fight due to not defending. Yamamoto was also in Fukuda's corner.

H
07-30-2005, 06:23 AM
alright guys, PPV is starting...Cabbage coming to the ring NOW.

Ah shit, mistake made there. they will show the reserve fight first. then Cabbage vs Goodridge.

H
07-30-2005, 06:42 AM
Reserve fight is going extra rounds. hearing its been a good back and forth fight. check back in 3 minutes.

H
07-30-2005, 06:49 AM
Mike Malone wins the reserve fight in round 4 10-9 all judges. the fight actually wasnt as good as originally thought. was kind of dirty, some weak kicks, Malone had a couple flurries and recieved a headbutt in the 1st round that caused a cut under his left eye, but he did enough to win it in the 4th with a combo and some good leg kicks.

H
07-30-2005, 07:02 AM
Goodridge wins by TKO round 1. 2:43 in. Goodridge gets 1 knockdown not sure how the phone was breaking up, but he finished Cabbage right after that with a hard right low kick.

H
07-30-2005, 07:06 AM
Carter Williams vs Nobu Hayashi coming up next. Big odds on Hayashi, lets see if he can be a factor.

H
07-30-2005, 07:12 AM
10-8 Round for Carter Williams. He scored 1 knockdown and was pretty much the dominator. Round 2 now.

H
07-30-2005, 07:21 AM
Carter Williams wins by Unanimous decision 30-26 on all cards.

H
07-30-2005, 07:26 AM
Marcus Royster from Team VooDoo vs Eric BUTTERBEAN Esch is next. Butterbean is still a mean puncher no matter what has happened to him in K-1 thusfar, and Royster is still new to K-1 and fighting in general if im not mistaken. But he has the size and strength to deliver a KO shot. Lets see what happens!

H
07-30-2005, 07:42 AM
Butterbean Wins the fight via JD. He got 1 knockdown in the third round, and landed a few pretty good overhead punches. had Royster rocked in the first, then began showboating, telling Royster to hit him with his guard down. Royster could not capitolize though and Butterbean got the decision.

H
07-30-2005, 08:04 AM
Fujimoto wins by KO in round 3. Scott junk used alot of low kicks, jabs and clinching. in the second round he recieved a red card for reverting to MMA tactics and taking down/kind of suplexing fujimoto. in the third it was all Fujimoto as he rocked Junk a few times, and then countered a right low kick with a brutal right hook. Junk was out for at least 30 seconds.

H
07-30-2005, 08:08 AM
Musashi vs Rickard Nordstandt is next. If any of you remember, Rickard just recently lost a close decision to Remy Bonjasky at i THINK the Scandinavia GP....dont quote me on that. anyways, this could be interesting or it could be a Musashi decision.

H
07-30-2005, 08:25 AM
Musashi wins via Unanimous decison. typical Musashi fight. good defense, sneaking in shots, not really going for the kill but fighting smart.

H
07-30-2005, 08:27 AM
Sorry, that was a 2-0 decision. 1 judge called the fight a draw. i think Rickard has a future in K-1 now taking the GP champion and the runner up both to 3rd decisions.

H
07-30-2005, 08:29 AM
Next match is Goodridge vs Carter Williams. Goodridge definetly had the easier fight, but Carter won his fight rather easily, he just had to go 3 rounds. I think Carters skill gets him the win here.

H
07-30-2005, 08:43 AM
Goodridge by KO round 1. lil over a minute. Carter Came in and threw like 2 leg kicks then tried to box with Gary. Gary put him in the corner and fucked him up BAD.

H
07-30-2005, 08:47 AM
Yusuke Fujimoto vs Butterbean is next. yet another rematch where Fujimoto could get his revenge. Butterbean KO Fujimoto in his debut K-1 fight, so i look forward to a motivated Fujimoto and a Butterbean looking forward to the same result as last.

H
07-30-2005, 08:48 AM
Scratch the rematch. Butterbean has dropped out due to injury. our reserve fighter is hurt. Marcus Royster will re-enter and fight Fujimoto.

Just some more info on the Goodridge v Carter fight. Gary unloaded 2 punches and rocked the shit out of carter, causing a standing 8, then they restarted the fight and Gary beat the snot out of him for the next 20-30 seconds till he fell to the mat.

H
07-30-2005, 08:57 AM
Fujimoto wins by First round KO. He just unloaded a flurry that Royster couldnt handle. the knockdown was called a slip, but then Fujimoto found his jaw shortly there after.

H
07-30-2005, 09:02 AM
Akebono vs Choi Hong Man is next. The rematch we have all.....been......waiting for? nevermind that.....could Akebono come out with some better punching being under the wing of Ray Sefo? or will Choi impose his size advantage and make Akebono play his game?

H
07-30-2005, 09:28 AM
The intermission is still going on. for whatever reason, their taking their sweet ass time.

H
07-30-2005, 09:34 AM
Fight starting! i expect a quick one here.

H
07-30-2005, 09:38 AM
Choi Hong Man by First round KO. Choi won quickly and mauled Akebono, just like last time. Also Bishop made it a point that Choi came out to Billy Jean by Michael Jackson.

H
07-30-2005, 09:43 AM
Choi also calls out Tyson, who seems to just shrug him off at first, but then goes in and shakes his hand.

H
07-30-2005, 09:44 AM
Grand PRIX FINALS! Gary BIG DADDY Goodridge vs Yusuke Fujimoto! This will end quickly as well i think unless Fujimoto can implement a good dodge and throw gameplan and land something or get a decision.

H
07-30-2005, 09:51 AM
Goodridge wins round 1 10-7. he scores 1 knockdown with a flesh right hook, then got another right after while he was dazed, but he made the count again and hung in there till the bell. Round 2 coming up.

H
07-30-2005, 09:55 AM
Goodridge wins Round 2 10-9. Fujimoto dominated and had the crowd on their feet, landing highkicks but Gary took them and ended up getting another knockdown, but Fujimoto got up and rode it out again. Round 3 coming up!

H
07-30-2005, 09:58 AM
Goodridge Wins the fight, Corner stoppage. he couldnt respond to the bell. Fujimoto took all those knockdowns and kept fighting. showed great hard but Big Daddy was just too much. your K-1 Intercontinental GP CHAMPION IS Gary BIG DADDY Goodridge!

H
07-30-2005, 10:00 AM
Crap i got that wrong, he actually took 3 more knockdowns in the 3rd rather quickly. then the corner threw the towel.

H
07-30-2005, 10:11 AM
Renzo Gracie vs BJ Penn is next. ROTR Rules. Can Renzo somehow pull something on the seemingly dominant BJ Penn? Or is Penn now on the decline since losing to Lyoto Machida at the HERO's I event. We will find out soon enough, as the fight is coming up!

H
07-30-2005, 10:20 AM
Rickson Gracie IS in Renzo's corner contrary to rumours reported earlier.

H
07-30-2005, 10:34 AM
Renzo LNP himself to win round 1 but is gassing and getting socked up in round 2.

H
07-30-2005, 10:36 AM
Penn wins round 2. the round consisted of Renzo trying to take BJ down unsuccessfully, and getting punched in the process. Renzo however did land some decent low kicks.

H
07-30-2005, 10:41 AM
BJ Penn wins by unanimous decision. BORING FIGHT i am told.

H
07-30-2005, 10:43 AM
Renzo Lay n pray the first round, controlled and took it. Penn turned it up, i guess if you want to call it that, and had good defence and control and did enough damage to get the nod.

Is it just me, or is Goodridge winning the GP much like Jamie Foxx being an academy award winner?

H
07-30-2005, 06:37 PM
well, Big Daddy WAS the second favored just before Carter to win this. the big suprise was him beating Carter Williams so dominant. He made his fights end the quickest so he had the gas in the end to take out Fujimoto in the 3rd. i thought Fuji would take it to him, and he did but was getting knocked down on the process. great showing of heart but Goodridge imposed his will and took it. Goodridge has improved ALOT in his striking since his early K-1 days. im very impressed.
