Peter Greene. Great in Usual Suspects. If you watch it with commentary they tell the story that makes me respect Steven Baldwin. Peter Greene was suppose to flick his cigarrette into Baldwin's chest, but hit him in the eye, and Baldwin stayed in character and improvised the scene perfectly.

Speaking of Trejo, my favorite moment of his from any film that he's ever been in was the scene from Heat where Neil (De Niro) comes to his home after the robbery at the bank had turned into a bloodbath. Neil finds Towner (Trejo) near death on the floor, and his wife murdered in the other room.

Did you know that the end of that scene (which was the best fucking part of that sequence) in Michael Mann's original screenplay was completely different from what he chose to shoot for the film?

In the movie, Towner is able to convey to Neil (though his body is in complete shock, and he's just been told that his wife has been killed) that it was Waingro and Van Zant..."They had Anna." Though absolutely livid (heh, do you remember that furious little smile that appeared on De Niro's face when he heard the name Van Zant?) Neil tells him that he'll call an ambulance. Towner, though, whispers to him "I'm not gonna make it, Neil....I can't feel anything....my Anna's gone...please, Neil, don't leave me like this..." Neil then spares Trejo's character by shooting him point-blank in the face.

In Mann's script, though, Neil just says he'll call the medics, turns off the flowing water from the faucet in Towner's house, then leaves. What happened in the film just seemed so much more on cue with De Niro's character than what was written. I suppose, though, that this (changes in scenes/dialogue from the screenplay) happens an awful lot during the process of making movie.
