Thought it'd be something most of us would find cool and I don't think its anything of a burden or disadvantage, so why not?

No, and that's final. Sigs are to be kept as text, we are strongly opposed to pictures apart from for winners of competitions and there is no way we're turning on HTML either way (bbcode does the same without fucking up the page layout).
