Thoughts on a possible Joe Calzaghe/ Jeff Lacy matchup?

Looks like Calzaghe is running his mouth again and saying he will get Lacy in the late fall if he gets through his Sept 10th bout against TBA. What are you guys thoughts on this? Personally id like to see Lacy kick his ass all around Cardiff

The Calzaghe of last motivated time...like, 2002, would take Lacy to the cleaners, IMO. Im assuming he'll be completely fired up for this fight....but maybe time will have eroded his abilities and punch resistance.

Who knows.

As of right now though, I think Calzaghe should be the slight favourite.

He wouldn't beat Calzaghe on points anywhere in the world, IMO. Fair scoring of course. Calzaghe is far too good a technician and is alot busier than Lacy.

Lacy should be looking to hurt Joe and rack up some big rounds, before stopping him. He'd be wise to not headhunt either, because Calzaghe will be punishing Lacy to the body as much as possible.

Zags will counter Lacys sloppy attacks all night and win an easy decision. Im assuming Joe will be motivated and ready to prove something. In this case it will be proving that he can outbox a juiced bodybuilder.
