Ok the bout is coming up this Saturday from the United Center in Chicago. Winner of this gets a crack at Vitali Klitschko later on this fall. Betting is open until 8 pm EST saturday night. good luck and happy betting

Elg threw me some cash to place a bet here, so that's what I'll do. Monte ain't a bad fighter. He's pretty decent. I don't feel that he's as good as Rahman, though. And unlike the consenus here, I believe that this scenario will more than likely result in Hasim not stopping him inside the distance.

Despite his one-shot KO of Lewis, his rally stoppage of Sanders, and his TKO (in that absolute war on USA's TNF fights years ago) of Jeff Wooden, I find a Rahman JD more likely than a Rahman KO in this case. If Hasim can build a score card lead on Monte (like I expect him to), he's likely to coast to a unanimlous decision win. Boogeyman Ferguson and Trevor Berbick were both so fucking old and faded that they practically needed canes to get to the ring for their matches with Rahman. Hasim didn't finish either of them. He didn't finish Sullivan, either. Considering his status/ranking with the WBC at the moment (being at the front of the line for a crack at Vitali), I doubt he'd take any kind of risk in a fight that he was winning.

But...I'm wrong as often as anybody else, so....
