wrong psp is doing dismal sales in the us and in japan.

DS is beating the shit out of it.

PSP IS catching hardcore gamers... and that is what Nintendo wanted to catch with PSP... so for the most part... PSP is winning what they want to... they just want more sales of their unit... they are already catching up on sales with the revenue from their UMD movies... they sell like fucking hotcakes..

Bottom line... DS is a very cheaply put together unit.... and I expect it to be 99 in a few months... they are also lowering the price around teh same time of the browser launch of the PSP in the US... something this week... PSP will be updated to surf the web and have more multimedia functionality

nintendo has been hit or miss since super nintendo.


why make a game system, the game cube, great in design etc, but make aknowingly less superior setup than ps2, and use disks that are 1/3 the size of xbox and ps2 games? Having a 1.8gig disk is limiting for larger games. Most ps2 games range in 1.5 to 2 gigs a pop.

they are simply being outclassed by sony...

all of the other companies that have contested gameboy and whatnot... have had problems... like:
a. to big
b. to pricey
c. not something you would want to carry around
d. and shit like that

PSP is sexier, more powerful, has the movies from sony on UMD.... and now can browse the internet, function as a full fledged multimedia player(think of all the Ipod type media players... this is one, and cheaper. Just less storage)

DS was made to market against PSP and they thought that its enginuity would keep it going... well, it hasnt. Alot of PSP owners dont even use it mainly as a gaming console... it is a movie and mp3 player... and just looks fucking sweet...

but... Nintendo aint gonna be hurting by any of this... Microsoft NORE Sony wants the markey that Nintendo owns.... mainly because they realize that they CANT take it, no matter how hard they try...
