I think this lockout will pay off eventualy... the owners can start a new league and keep expansion out of shitty areas... that was the single greatest reason the level in quality dropped so drasticaly in such a short time... and the players will get sick of playing in Europe, or pumping gas, and fall in line for the right price, and hockey will return to the glory days, when it was the #1 sport in alot of cities, like here in Boston.

Talk on Sportsnet.ca today was that there may not even be a draft this year. Poor Sid. I'd like to hope when hockey is back in, they do a random draw for picks and Leafs pull no.1. and put Crosby in the Blue and White.

The NHL was retarded. They have way too many franchises. Shouldn't have ever expanded past 1 or 2 teams.

Fantasy leagues will suck next year, assuming there is a season. I forgot who's worth getting anymore.

Carolina trades Jeff O'Neil to the Toronto Maple Leafs for a conditional pick in the 2006 draft.

Well, safe to say he's to replace Nolan at a much cheaper price.
Good pickup for T.O.

Bruins are in a semi-good situation, as it looks like Thornton and Samsanov will sign and that until that happens, they have only three guys on the roster, freeing up a lot of free agent spending cash.

But with Sinden at the helm, I woulldn't surprise if that remained the entire roster. And I'm not sure what the word is in Boston, but from what I've heard Big Joe was less than impressed with the offer from Boston.

But with the cap, it makes more sense to get the max here in boston than to take the same amount of money and switch teams and cities.

And without Harry Sinden, there wouldn't have been Cameron Neely in a B's sweater. So he gets a free pass from me. Sinden also was of the GM's in the league who didn't start throwing stupid money for players which lead partialy to the downfall of the NHL.
