Gary Shaw, CEO of Gary Shaw Productions, LLC, announced today he has signed an exclusive promotional agreement with three-time world champion Manny Pacquiao. "As a promoter, you always hope to sign a 'blue chip' athlete who will win a world title. Today, I have signed a 'platinum chip' world class champion whose persona transcends sports and approaches folk lore in The Philippines. I feel privileged that Manny has chosen me as his promoter," said Shaw. "Manny has a superb management team in Shelly Finkel, Nick Khan and Keith Davidson, as well as a Hall-of-Fame caliber trainer in Freddie Roach. I look forward to working together with them and I am truly honored that the team has placed its confidence in me. One thing we already agree on -- Manny will get the biggest hotel room." Pacquiao, 39-3-2 (31 KOs), a former WBC flyweight and IBF super jr. featherweight champion will be facing Hector Velazquez, 42-10-2 (31 KOs) in a 12-round super featherweight bout on September 10, at Staples Center in Los Angeles. HBO will televise it live, along with the second main event, another 12-round super featherweight fight pitting three-time world champion Erik Morales, 48-2 (34 KOs), against 1996 U.S. Olympian Zahir Raheem, 26-1 (16 KOs).

I want to see Pacman v Barrera and then the winner fights Morales.

Eh? Barrera's already more than proven himself able to beat Morales. Pac should fight Morales of anything out of all of those. Or a Pac/Barrera rematch, but Barrera and Morales should leave it as it is.

yeah, i agree with mr. liu. morales x barrera fights were great, and each truly could've gone either way, but we've already seen how it plays out, not that i wouldn't enjoy another one. pac x barrera needs to be done, if barrera's up to it. i don't know if pac would be able to dominate barrera a 2nd time.

You mean there are actually boxing fans who don't want to see a 4th fight between Barerra and Morales. I'd watch them fight everyday if i could. I'd like to see Pac V Barrera 2 but i'm waiting patiently to see the 4th instalment of the best series of fights in the last decade.

Give me Barrera-Pacquiao II. The Barrera-Morales book should be closed now. Its been decided. Beating Pacquiao would have a MUCH bigger impact on Macro's legacy, than a 3rd or 4th win over Morales.

the only thing that's been decided between mab and erik is that every time they fight, it's going to be close and could go either way.

Yeah, except that 66% of the time, Barrera wins. Its a clear pattern.

Barrera needs to nut up and fight Pacquiao. He's got his story and victory over Morales, removing the doubt surrounding the Pacquiao slaughter would help his career to no end.
