Tonight I got my first taste of real mma. Tonight we worked on bbj was tougher than i thought it was going to be mainly because i need to get my cardio up and get into a little better shape. I am open to any suggestions on a good cardio work out and any other advice that everyone might have. I am going to list goals in the future and would like to know if it is realistic being that i am new to this. any advice will be greatly appriciated

That tabata thing seems a little fucked up.. I wanna try it though.
I'd just go out jogging everyday.. But i shouldn't talk.. Ive been sitting on a couch for like 5months.. In tip-top shape.. ahha

tabatas are supposed to be used only a few times per month to help stimulate fat loss. There are much better ways to improve cardio than tabatas.

My favorite way of improving cardio is 45min runs for a good base, High speed/sprinting for anaerobic work. Swimming for lung capacity and bag work is always a real killer.
I like to mix all 4 in a weekly routine. Also if your gym has a steam room use that aswell.
Good luck mate.
