Peter Aerts takes #2
When the CKO Rankings were born at the end of 2000, Peter Aerts was not in the top 10. Based on the inaugural system, his losses to Abidi had placed him out of the elite. At the time, it was believed that a 3-time Grand Prix champion would quickly re-establish himself and take a top 10 rank. The chances did present themselves but it wasn?t until 2005/9/23 that he took the #2 rank from Mo Siliga. A long wait but glorious just the same. Bravo!
Here are his past attempts:
2001/3/17 lost to Mirko Filipovic [6]
2001/12/8 lost to Francisco Filho [3]
2002/12/7 lost to Ray Sefo [4]
2004/12/4 lost to Francois Botha [5]

All these ranking systems don't mean shit. Abidi will never win one GP let alone three.
im sorry, but what the fuck does this have to do with Abidi?
its good to see Aerts finally broke the top 10 on your list. Of course it was at the disposal of my boy Mo, but eh, shit happens.

It is updated after the fights, not on a monthly or weekly basis.

no i want you to tell me why he was ranked above Bonjasky after failing to win the last 2 grand prix's in a row. And also not to be controversial everyone knows that Musashi didnt beat Sefo last year he was a shoe-in cuz he was japanese. Wait till he runs into someone that he cant fairy dance around the ring in front of all day.

I see. You need me to tell you that the CKO Rankings are different from the K-1 system. Is that right?
Here are a few things to keep in mind:
1- The CKO tracks kickboxing activity worldwide, even outside the K-1.
2- Tournament fights count in the rankings only when both fighters are fresh. Semi and final bouts don't count.
3- The CKO will never overturn an official decision. Poor decisions mean that judging must be improved, not the tracking system.
4- The CKO is the only objective system in existence. We don't really see it as Mori as #1 but as the fighter who beat the #2 and defeated an opponent after the #1 was declared vacant. That fighter could be Mori or Hoost or Abidi. His name doesn't factor into the decision. Objectivity means no bias.

You need me to tell you.............................. Is that right?
Actually, no. He just likes to talk like he is important and then lashes out when he talks himself into a corner. I'd not bother wasting your time trying to explain things to him....
