In another MMAWeekly exclusive, UFC President Dana White has confirmed three of the six fights that will be taking place before the season finale of The Ultimate Fighter goes on the air on Saturday, April 9th. Those fights are Nate Quarry vs. Lodune Sincaid, Josh Rafferty vs. Alex Karalexis and Chris Leben vs. Jason Thacker.

These will not be seen on the air.

Only the two final fights and Shamrock/Franklin will make air.

Damn, appears to be some truth in the "everyone will fight in the finals" thing after all.

Sad thing is .. if Thacker beats Leben I'll laugh my ass off...

Again, no one in the Canadian MMA scene (and I mean no one) has ever heard of Jason Thacker. He is not a fighter and Leben will actually murder him.

Well, Leben has impressed exactly noone with his performances, so I guess he is fed the only dude he can beat solidly.

He can beat Mike Swick

His WEC fight against Swick is pretty impressive.

I know, I was talking about on the show. He's been all antics, all talk, and lost both fights.

If you weren't impressed with his last fight, you musn't like fighting that much. He couldn't really help that his skin didn't stay in one intact piece.

How was I supposed to be impressed? Yeah, he ran over him, but could not finish him. That's not impressive. I would've been impressed if he finished the fight and won it, but as it stands now, he put on a good performance, not an impressive one.

Defeat will not be tolerated in this dojo?

The guy just has to stop crying after he loses.

Says the guy who bears an Av of a guy who cries pretty much randomly.

I kid, Pulver is my fav Lightweight.

Against Florian he put on a good performance, I don't dispute that, however, I was never impressed by Leben in that fight because he couldn't get the job done. You could say I was impressed by Florian for holding on and in the end winning, but Leben wasn't IMPRESSIVE in that fight.

I've seen Leben fight several times live and a couple times on video and I have been very impressed by him. His showing on TUF IMO did not accurately portray how good of a fighter he is

Exactly, but that was never my point. I'm still talking about the TUF show, not his career as a whole.

Florian's win was one in ten million... I wish they would show the undercard, make it a two hour finalle.

I have a question with the schedualing... with only two Mondays left before the final episode, and three fights remaining, will the light heavies fight on the same show?

I'm still upset they would throw a bum in like that just to do the old "canadians are pussies" spiel for the ignorants

Beat me to that one... and I also am a huge Pulver fan, in part because of what he's overcome, and that he's not afraid to cry about it... I sw him fight both Uno and Penn live, and he broke down both times, and I told myself, win or lose, he's got more heart than any other fucker that steps in the cage, or ring. One of my top five favorites of all time.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled thread.

Wait ... is Thacker the guy who's bed was pissed on? How the fuck is he getting paid to fight, even in pre-lims?

That's the guy. I guess UFC is tired of Leben losing and want to give him a chance to show his flurries.

Thacker is obviously just no good, remeber the state of him in the first few episodes. saying that he could of been hitting the gym hard in the past 4 months and got some better training, could see a different person, but at the end of the day I think it's obvious what is going to happen.

Looks like but they need some sort of advantage with who they are fighting. Thacker looked weak in training and Sincaid was not all that impressive in his fight either.

Leben has lost two straight fights. Thacker is a can.

Because they didn't want to put an actual good Canadian fighter on the show, for fear he might actually win.

LMAO! :D

Thacker just didn't seem like an aggressive guy at all. I wouldn't even be intimidated by him. It looks like Leben finally gets a win.

As far as Leben's performances on the show, I haven't really been impressed either. The Koscheck fight was obviously horrible. Kenny wasn't even scared to take Chris's shots (after training w/ him the last 2 weeks). Not that Chris isn't a good fighter, but I just haven't seen it yet.

What would happen to the credibility of Team Quest if Leben lost this fight, you would almost have to lose a little respect for Randy for blatanly plugging him so much.

I almost have lost a little respect for Randy. Not just w/ the favoritism of fighters but also w/ how evident it has become that the cage is such an important part of their training and game plans. I guess i just wanted to believe it wasn't true.

He's still #1.

At the end of the day that's what the UFC is about, he would train differently if he trained to fight in a ring.

I found it surprising how useless as a trainer to most of the fighters he's been so far even injuring nate in training lol, maybe he's different when he's training guys for proffessional fights in their own gym but it looks like he's better at training himself than training others
