This place is still around? Sweet. I know this isn't the right forum per se, but I want answers and I know there's plenty of comic fans up in here that can help me out. I've wasted numerous hours on wikipedia reading up on Marvel characters and their histories over the past couple years because I missed out on a lot of it when I was a kid and it would just be too damn expensive to try and catch up on it now via purchasing books.

Was the Mandarin just a "facade" in the comics? I didn't think so.

Was Killian ever really a formidable foe with a superhuman army?

If so, was Pepper ever actually submitted to his "therapy" to become superhuman herself?

Did Tony actually decide to have the shrapnel surgically removed?

Besides these questions I was disappointed in this one in plenty of other ways. Not enough Happy. We had to wait almost an hour and a half for any real Iron Man action, and even that was a but disappointing. Barely any Iron Patriot/War Machine worth mentioning. Even the humor was sparse and mostly in the last half hour.

I know this is the wrong place for movie discussion but I want some answers from my comrades that are more enlightened than I and didn't want to spoil it for anybody that hasn't seen it yet. This place hasn't been used in years so I figured it wouldn't hurt anything. And yes, I am that disappointed. Feel free to move/delete as seen appropriate (after some discussion, preferrably).

Theres hundreds if not thousands in the horror genre. Anything Argento has made I'm on board with. Halloween has always been my favorite, with Psycho trailing not too far behind. Serial killer movies I'm quite fond of Man Bites Dog and henry portrait of a serial killer. Favorite being man bites.

He's been on the shelf for 7 months, and his UFC offer was an instant title shot against Bendo, but Viacom is fighting his move.

Looks like Bellator was saying one thing, and then Viacom changed their tune at the 11th hour with a bullshit contract that equates a Bellator PPV to headlining a UFC PPV, which could net Eddie 7 figures. Of course Eddie's fighting to head to the UFC, but if this drags on too long does he still get the instant title shot?

Does a win over Aoki and Freire really earn that after the loss to Chandler?

I want to see that fight, or a fight with Gil more than anything.

Can't the UFC just restructure their contract to raise the Show/Win money to balance the PPV dollars and price out Bellator ending this shit?

Eddie's been a long time supporter of BK, giving us multiple interviews and always having time for us, and I'd love to see him wear some UFC gold. He's got a great training partner for strategizing against Bendo with Frankie Edgar.

So the girlfriend is dying to go somewhere, and other than Indianapolis, and LA when I was a teenager, I've done absolutely no travelling. I have the first two weeks of September off. My girlfriend works for Westjet (Can airline) so we get cheap flights from associated airlines too. The only other thing that affects the trip would be that the girlfriend does not drink, so drinking resorts don't really work for us.

Ideas, suggestions, recommendations? We were thinking of going to London, England, or Florida. I really have no clue. Travelling has never been a huge priority in my life.

Need help finding a gym

In the next 6-12 months I'm gonna start expanding my skillset past my Kenpo school and I'd like to start training at an MMA gym. Initially I was dead set on going to Keith Hackney's gym but I am just not gonna be able to make it work based on how far away it is. Saddens me a lot but I just won't be able to.

So now I need to find a new place and have no idea how to pick one. Is it as simple as googling all the coaches at said gym to get a ballpark on the quality I should expect?
