Haven't watched any of the show, but am now on book 5. Just started it, but I noticed that it only came out last year, while book 4 came out in 2005??? Wtf, six year gap? That sucks for us looking forward to book 6...and book 7, fuggedaboutit....

The first thing I thought about when the street talker was ranting and raving and going on knowing only a bit of the truth by bastardizing it into complete nonsense was Ron Paul people. Perhaps the shows writers felt the same way about the scene. Completely irrelevant wackos, but they hurt the poor imp's feelings.

Finale was quite different from the books, the blackwater episode (9) was fucking fantastic.

Season 3 is going to be great, so much happens in book 3. I believe they were saying that they were extending season 3 into 20 episodes, which is good. Book 2 felt kind of rushed.

When I first saw the promos for series one of this, I thought to myself 'this looks like the shittest thing ever' but have been hooked ever since reluctantly watching the first episode. Best show I have ever seen and by the time it is all wrapped up will more than likely go down as the biggest television show in history.

Just read spoilers for season three based on what happens in the book ... oh my fucking god.

In general I was kind of let down by this season. The finale on the show didn't do the book justice in my opinion
