He plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge and no contest to same; he was facing felony charges and something insane like up to 30+ years in the state penitentiary. I do not think anyone can call what he did "stupid". Actually brilliant.

The alleged fact that many media outlets are inundating whoever the hell is in charge of Mayweather's incarceration for requests to see his reportedly tiny cell was featured on the front page of Y! over the faux-holiday weekend. It is not there anymore so I cannot link to it.

And now Mayweather doesn't have to report for his jail sentence until June and now Arum is all....

Eff both these camps. It's obvious neither side has ever wanted the fight to happen. Boxing may be the only sport where the best go completely out of their way to not have to compete against the best, and their fans cheer them on for it.

I hope both Manny and Mayweather both get brutally knocked out in their next fights and create 2 new stars we can see fight each other. Even then, the same shit probably happens with that fight.

And Leonard made everyone wait because he kept on retiring; I recently read Angelo Dundee's memoirs. I was not alive during the bulk of it, of course. Duran never actually said "no mas".

I feel a little underwhelmed by this latest development. I mean, it's not that I don't like Cotto. I am just sick of seeing him fight to ne honest and don't think he has anything that Floyd won't deal with comfortably. Same thing could be said about Ortiz, but at least he was a young contender so there was a bit of a story there.
