Bought tix to this event almost 2 months ago and had little expectations with all the injuries. I kept faith knowing there were enough guys on the card who rarely have boring fights and luckily they all came through and then some. De Fries/Thompson was an inactive clinch fest until the finish but the rest of the fights delivered. The arena was almost full an hour before the main card and the energy level was high but definitely not as energized as my last experience (UFC 121: Lesnar vs Velasquez). Solid experience for sure.

Oh and for a few mins I thought Demarcus Johnson was dead. He was laid out for 2 minutes straight. The medical team brought out the stretcher but he finally woke up and refused to be taken out on it.

Where do you live? I'm in San Pedro.

I was gonna go to this but couldn't manage a babysitter in time. I hope there's another event at Staples Center soon, or near here.

I'm in Ventura. It's the midway point between LA and Santa Barbara.

With global expansion on their mind, I'm sure there won't be another UFC around these parts for another 1-2 years which I why I was so determined to go even after the Stann-Lombard fight fell apart.
