Cyborg, in the aftermath of being called out at 135 by Rousey, just tweeted that she is "waiting for her liberation from the UFC". Strikeforce is eliminating the 145 division, and apparently Cyborg is unwilling or unable to make 135. 145, of course, was only created because Gina Carano couldn't say no to a buffet, and Cyborg had no opponents at that weight when Carano moved to Hollywood.

With Rousey being the biggest female MMA star, and firmly entrenched at 135, there's literally ZERO fights to be made at 145, and the division, absent a champion, is being closed.

That's that :P Looks like we'll have to wait for Rousey to break the delusional Tate's other arm.

Making a big deal about there being a 145lb division for women doesn't make sense to me. Why wouldn't there be one? There's a 145 men's division and women seem to have more problems with cutting weight. Yes, there aren't enough fighters, but that's across the board for women.

I hope cyborg finds an opponent, or Rousey steps up a class if she really wants the fight.

Only a person who has not seen Cyborg in person would ever contemplate making such an idiotic thread. There is no way on earth she makes 135lbs. If you trained, maybe you would realise this. Moreover, I would never be caught uttering something online that I would not be more than willing to repeat IRL to someone, so your level of disrespect to a woman that could most definitely beat the living shit out of you is quite appalling.

It's hard for me to believe Cyborg can't make 135 if she has been off roids for a year but I've never met her in person and don't know how big she is naturally.

Recap of today's events: Rousey's manager took a page from BJ Penn's book (or Floyd Jrs) and said, before negotiations could begin for a fight, Cyborg would have to submit to Olympic-style random PED testing, including hair samples, from the contract signing through the fight itself. He went on to say he would offer to pay for such testing, out of his pocket.

Summary: Although it's apparently safe to fill herself to the brim with steroids, until it permanently changes her voice and facial appearance, it's not safe to get off the sauce, stop lifting weights like a male bodybuilder, and make 135.
