Bellator's Matt Van Buren Joins Alliance MMA

Since I couldn't figure out for the life of me why undefeated "Bones Clone" Matt Van Buren was not in the ongoing Bellator light heavyweight tournament, I did some digging - and sure enough, Van Buren is recovering from a fractured rib, and should be returning to action within three months - and when he does return he will be fighting out of San Diego-based Alliance MMA, which is already loaded with 205-pound talent, in the form of Phil Davis, Alexander Gustafsson and Brandon Vera.

Van Buren most definitely bears watching. I'm fully expecting him to be in the UFC within a year, tops.
