What asshat put Yamamoto as #1 LW and even worse who put Florian as #1 LW ... maybe these shouldn't be open to anyone as it seems some people interpret them as a "who's your favorite fighter" poll.

If you don't agree - that's great! Tell us why. And please, no one-sentence bs like "Fedor number one? fuck this!" or "this list is useless without Kid Yamamoto!" etc etc.

Future lists will cover pound for pound fighters and open-weight women's categories...

Seriously. I'm a huge Florian fan, but choking out "hands of stone" does not get you into the top 10 of one of the most competitive weight classes in mma. Hell, he could beat Sherk and be champ and maybe, just maybe, crack the top 10. There are WAY too many accomplished and proven fighters at LW with wins over top tier fighters.

Why is Henderson 3rd after losing to an unranked MW like Misaki? Why is Filho 6th when he hasn't beat anybody of note? Why is Melendez ranked? Why the hell is Koscheck ranked?

I have to admit, I put Florian at #10, but that was becase I couldnt decide on who to really put there...

Melendez is my #12, Koscheck my #11 on my little ranking notepad atmso I'm innocent there. As far as Filho and Henderson, I go by the philosophy that it matters more who you beat, but there is some weight to how you beat them, and Filho just shuts people out. In other sports with official rankings, like college football/basketball, margin of victory and impressiveness do play a role in determining where teams are ranked, even if they are less important than who you beat and who you lost to.

For Henderson (my #4), it looked like a damn close fight, and winning the GP recently keeps him high on my list. Also of note is that Misaki has been climbing, and has really impressed me, so I wasn't that disillusioned by Henderson when Misaki beat him

In consideration of MSIA's health, I hope he never looks at the "other's receiving votes" sections of the rankings. The rankings themselves will probably throw him into a shit fit, if he sees the unranked fighters that got votes he may kill himself or someone nearby.
