It would have been different if he had an arm or broke a bone, but this is a little extreme.

He fucked up big, but didn't deserve to be cut. I say maybe a suspension, with a lesser fine. The fine was too much as it was...it's not like held the choke for 10 seconds here.

Was he cut or just not re-signed? Considering Dana's talk of not being able to do anything in regards to steroids I would consider it very interesting if he was actually cut...

This just makes his steroid comments look very hollow though. My complaint isn't with punishing Babalu, but more with feeding me a line on your own impotence not even 2 months ago in terms of punishing fighters yourself and then follow it up with this.

Just like to point out one last time... Called it and I agree with it. He did it to himself. Perhaps if he didn't act like such a dick afterwords this wouldn't of even been considered. But no he had to "keep it real." Someone should of showed him some episodes of Dave Chappelle so he could know how that can go wrong.

If that idiot hadn't have pointed it out and bragged about it in his post fight interview he might have only had to pay a fine but still keep keep a job with the UFC.

He always looks like he just got up so now after being cut he can stay in bed for longer.

That was what I was thinking as well. He really had no use for him and didn't seem to like him in the first place. He was there to be crushed by Chuck and then act as a gatekeeper. Getting beat down by someone he shouldn't made him worthless. This just made it all the easier to get rid of him.

I doubt it.When I watch this fight,I was like why judge don't stop fight for doctors time.I'm sure many have same feel about it.It means how is UFC's cut policy?

I feel that bloody hell situation allow from UFC.Then Babalu do that one.So Dana afraid how that's combination looks from ppls do not like MMA.

I think need more cut situation's doctors policy in my mind.Elbow is one of martial arts's traditional technic.So it's not elbows itself problem.This problem include how to use it in rule.Therefore, rule need more subdivision.

I believe you are correct about the blood. It did just make the situation look worse. A man being choked unconscious in a pool of his own blood just doesn't look good.

UFC has always had this problem when it comes to calling fights when blood is involved. They seem more concerned if it is directly above the eye. If it isn't, they don't care how much is coming out.

I'm pretty sure Babalu would be cut either way, they are just jumping on this opportunity to generate some good PR. Not a tremendous loss for the UFC as he is barely a top 15 fighter.
