The fact that this fight will not happen says alot about the state of boxing. How many fights do people (not die hards) wnat to see right now? This is the only true megafight out there. I don't believe any amount of shame will get Floyd to take this fight. He doesn't want to lose and tarnish his legacy????/ Not talking the fight does that, in the minds of true fans. And yes, it will be talked about long after they are gone.

It is "two" fighters. But still says much about boxing as a whole. The divisions are too watered down. You don't have the personas of times past. Other than Pac who do you really here about outside of boxing circles. Star power is not present anymore. The lack of likeable and serviceable heavyweights doesn't help. But, the fact that the one fight that needs to happen won't says it all.
