Friend's band..picked up by Maverick Records....listen.?

Well Im half-pissed and half-happy..one of my friends..bands..was picked up by maverick records...it was a few months back..but now they are going on a national tour with deftones...and im pretty jealous as my band is still playing dive bars...but this is the first time someone i know personally has gotten a major label record deal..

check them out..you might hate it..who knows..

eh, I dont really like it. A multi-million dollar studio will probably make them sound like gold though.

I don't really understand what they're doing on tour with the Deftones. I don't think the majority of Deftones fans like that kind of music. But, then again, the Stones are going on tour with Metallica so I guess everybody has lost their mind.

deftones touring prolly not until march from what i hurrrred.

eother way congrats to your boys. maverick is one of the few labels that does good by their artists.

oh and th efact madonna owns it... heh yeah.

That's about all I've heard. They're doing a tour together. It's going to be called the Two Bands That Need to Stop Trying to Rock Tour.

nate if the stones and metallicrap tour together it'll be a huge stadium tour in america where the shittiest of tickets will run 95 to 150 bucks.

either that or they'll do select dates at venues that can hold over 90k. thus eliminating all stadiums in the states with the exception of the colliseum roseball and a few old school college stadiums thus we'll see em doing the shows at nascar and horse tracks.

either way i wont go.
