Valhalla 6 Review |

What can be said about the Valhalla shows that hasn’t been said before? There are larger and flashier shows that have come through the area but none have been able to replicate the consistency of the Valhalla series. There isn’t much glitz and glamour or celebrity appearances (though Baptista of WWE fame was there supporting Steve Blackman’s team), but if you want to see some of the top fighters in the DC area, the Valhalla series delivers every time.
BK News was on hand for the 6th incarnation of Valhalla on Saturday, May 10th and like the previous 5, Valhalla came through with a competitive and exciting card featuring some of the top talent in the area.

Pete Spratt victorious at UWC
The UWC put on an excellent show viewed by almost 5000 fans. Packed with MMA stars and legends, 9 exciting bouts, and very slick and professional promotion, the Ultimate Warrior Challenge was a solid success. The only disappointment of the evening was that the Patriot Center wasn?t sold out. The evening opened with an exciting bout between Rashad Woods and Ron Stallings. For the first minute the two fighters clinched and worked for takedowns, and when they finally landed on the canvas Woods was on top delivering a brutal elbow that opened a huge gash on Stallings. Stalling was undaunted and slapped a tight armbar on Woods. Woods stood and with an impressive show of strength raised Stallings in the air and slammed him to the mat knocking him unconscious.
